GOOD STRETCHES….BAD STRETCHES

Stretching to stay flexible is a good idea. Stretching the time and mileage between oil changes isn’t. Here’s why.

Every oil filter has a finite capacity for collecting debris in the oil before it goes into bypass. Standard oil filters are fine if you change the oil at shorter, regular intervals. But, if you use the extended drain interval, a premium filter, that has the capacity to go that extended amount of time and mileage, should be used.

Your automotive service centre is actually trying to prolong the life of your vehicle for you when they recommend regular oil change services. A little spent now could save you thousands later. Doing oil changes at the recommended time and mileage intervals is the right thing to do for your vehicle.
